Miss DJ Candy is an electrifying and multi-talented female DJ, celebrated for her magnetic stage presence and exceptional skills in Hip Hop, Afrobeats, Dancehall, and House music. Over the past decade, she has made an unforgettable impact on the global music scene, supporting renowned artists like J Cole and Wizkid. From headlining prestigious events like Wireless Festival, Fresh Island Festival, Pacha Ibiza, and Ministry of Sound in London, to securing a coveted 6-month residency in Ibiza, Miss DJ Candy's talent knows no bounds.
She has shattered barriers as the first female resident tour DJ for Ministry of Sound's brand Smoove, captivating audiences worldwide with her dynamic performances. Connecting effortlessly with her fans, she continues to push musical boundaries, proving her place as a trailblazer in the male-dominated DJ industry.
01 May: Dean Scorch
DJ Dean is a German Euro-Trance/Hard Trance DJ, producer, and current, longtime resident DJ of the Tunnel techno club in Hamburg, Germany. He is also an artist of the German trance label Tunnel Records, which has released successful trance/hard trance compilations under the Tunnel Trance Force and DJ Networx franchises. DJ Dean's success began in 1992, at age 17, when he became well known in Hamburg's club scene with the music styles Hardcore and Gabba. After playing at Time Tunnel Rave in 1995, he then became resident DJ of the famous club Tunnel, based in Hamburg. In 1997, DJ Dean set up his own studio. There he produced his first project in co-operation with Sony Music Media (a division of Sony Music).
8 May: Lucky Cat
Vinyl DJ Lucky Cat Zoë specialises in ‘60s and 70s styles of Reggae music and vintage Soul, Rhythm n Blues and Doo Wop. In addition, Zoë collects and plays music from all over East Asia, her favourite era being 1960s Hong Kong. Collecting records since age 12, Zoë started DJing at parties in 2000 and then progressed to hosting her own club nights with friends in South London (Messy and Lucky Cat). In 2005 Zoë made her debut on Resonance FM and has since made 15 series of her radio show Lucky Cat (a spicy chop suey of music and culture) and 4 series of Lucky Cat's Sound System Stories (an oral history of sound system culture in the UK and beyond).
A passionate broadcaster, she has also contributed mixes to both the BBC’s cult programme On the Wire and Soho Radio. In 2016 Lucky Cat founded an all-female Reggae DJ collective – Sisters of Reggae. The collective of 5 DJs and 1 MC gigged all over Europe. After a fantastic 5 years, in 2021 Zoë disbanded Sisters of Reggae and continued with her passion for music, which now included art and illustration work alongside broadcasting and DJing.
Zoë has curated many nights and events in London and currently has a residency - East Asia Beat - at Spiritland with fellow DJ Jawa Jones. Over the years, Zoë has DJ’d at various festivals and events all over Europe. Zoë is a regular DJ at the fantastic Classic Car Boot Sale event in Kings Cross.
22 May: Martin 2 Smoove
In 2017 Martin was voted London’s Best DJ at the critically acclaimed London Club and Bar awards. It’s no wonder when you hear he’s played for the likes of Barack Obama, Prince Harry, Lewis Hamilton and Samuel L Jackson, and at nearly 300 venues across the world.
He is the Tour DJ for Grammy award winner, Eve, and has just toured stadiums and arenas with her and Gwen Stefani in the USA. A DJ for Nike, Gumball 3000, GQMan of the Year awards, Ministry of Sound Resident, former Resident Pacha Ibiza, Trevor Nelson’s right-hand man, and is now doing a mix show on Capital FM with Ministry of Sound at Weekends.
